I was the newly appointed principal in an inner city middle school. I was told that the school had been plagued with truancy, petty thefts, gang wars, vandalism, and other misbehavior. Because of this, it was difficult to hire and retain good teachers.

When the superintendent of the district called me, we talked about this problem at length. I suggested that we should put a hidden camera with built in DVR in strategic locations in the school to monitor the students.

The school district felt it was time to do something to address this problem of the school so my plans were supported. We installed working wall clocks with secret camera and DVR.

At the end of the corridor was the exit door with a lighted Exit Sign. It was actually a hidden camera with built in DVR. It was a common school sign that never invited suspicions of being a covert camera.

In the library, we had two spy cameras: the desk lamp on the librarian’s table, and the air purifier. Students’ movements inside were monitored and recorded. We also set them to record when motion was detected after school hours.

The principal’s office in the past was burglarized, with the perpetrator never caught. I chose the alarm clock model that had a hidden camera with built in DVR. It was set to be sensitive to motion that would trigger the recording to start.

The teachers in the school were asked to cooperate in our objective to control students’ misbehavior. With the hidden camera with built in DVR in the pen camera and watch camera, they can personally help in monitoring their students. The pen camera has both video and audio recording. These can be activated by just normally clicking the pen.

With the embedded SD card in most of these spy cameras, we were able to view all the recordings regularly from a computer or from a TV with the RCA cable that be connected to them.
